Partial Stabilized Zirconia (PSZ)
As some phase stabilizers (e.g. MgO, CaO, Y 2 O 3 ) are added in the ZrO 2 , the high temperature phases, including tetragonal and cubic phases, are preserved. If the t-phase precipitates are arranged uniformly in the c-phase grains, the toughness of the ZrO 2 is greatly improved as good as metallic alloys.
